SmartSet is an affordable virtual set solution that is geared to accommodate any type of broadcast such as news, sportscasts, financial reports, entertainment shows and more. SmartSet allows the same studio space to be used for multiple productions. A small studio as large as 10x10 square feet can be easily turned into a broad virtual set giving the broadcast a big market look.
Plug & Play system
SmartSet provides a complete virtual set solution with extremely easy operation and setup. SmartSet is a Plug & Play system that does not require any 3rd party integration.
SmartSet takes advantage of Orad’s Pattern Recognition tracking technology. Similar in nature to bar code technology, Orad’s Pattern Recognition tracking system utilizes traditional blue or green screen chroma key techniques but by adding grid lines of a similar blue or green hue onto the blue backdrop the system can easily recognize and process the overlaid information by reading the video signal. These grid lines are completely removed in the chroma key process, while camera position and parameters are extracted from the video signal itself.
With SmartSet no physical sensors are required, setup time is minimal and time-consuming calibration process is not needed nor any additional hardware modules are needed.
Enhanced performance
SmartSet supports up to 4 studio cameras, going on-air is instantaneous and a minimal 3 frames delay is required for its production.
Being a flexible solution, SmartSet is powered by the DVG graphic rendering platform which comes with up to 4 full resolution video insertions. This powerful combination provides unparalleled real-time rendering power of complex objects to achieve stunning visual results.
Authoring for SmartSet is extremely straightforward and simple. Scenes authored with 3D Studio Max are instantaneously imported into SmartSet. Orad’s MapSet software automatically renders texture maps onto objects in a virtual scene, providing a highly realistic presentation of the virtual set.
